no comment – airbrush on paper – 1988
Aside from the diversity of all the patterns displayed, note that a line begins at the upper left that has no dead-end but coincides to create fields with many different shapes and sizes. Those patterns have again various shades and graphic designs, in contrast to its surrounding. This type of spontaneous creativity and method I have used before and after in a number of abstract paintings, such as “Composition Textured” and “Impromptu”. Pencil on paper / 20.3 x 25.4 cm / 1998
After laying off painting for ten years and producing over that time rather abstract work, this is my second painting in which I begin a representational phase. With no intention ever to exhibit (because in the avant-garde world it would be retro), I was free to paint as I liked. For that, I chose the valley near my hometown Eisenerz, not to forget my roots. Oil on canvas / 81.2 x 96.5 cm / 1982
